My athlete's foot symptoms have returned, should I see a doctor again?

28-year-old womana year ago
Hello, last December, I had symptoms of athlete's foot (itching, white lesion) on both feet between the little toe and the other. I started a treatment of clotrimazole 1% twice a day from December 4 to December 31 inclusive (1 month as the podiatrist calls it). During this month, I washed my sheets twice a week, I bought cotton socks, I changed my socks 3 times a day, I avoided as much as possible to have wet feet. After stopping the treatment, 2 days later, the symptoms reappeared. I spoke with my pharmacist and she advised me to restart the treatment of clotrimazole twice a day and to add tritactin powder as well and to make the treatment for 2 months easy. So, I started the treatments again on January 4th at the same frequency. As of today, I have been doing the treatment for 2 months. Sometimes, I feel like I still have itching

Good morning, ma'am,
If you do the treatment for 4 weeks and the symptoms come back, you have to make sure that there is no source of recontamination. Do you walk barefoot? Has the carpet in the bathroom been cleaned?
These are just a few leads. If the problem recurs and no source of contamination is found, I suggest consulting a physician to rule out other causes.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
