I went off the pill on Jan. 1 for my first attempts at conception and my 1st cycle was 50 days. What to do?

I am on my 2nd cycle and am on day 43 without a period. I've had pregnancy tests every 3-4 days and I'm not pregnant. How long can it take to get back to a normal cycle?

Good evening ma'am,
It varies a lot from woman to woman, and it depends mostly on whether you've ever had a stable cycle.
Many women have been on the birth control pill since their first period, so we don't really know how long their "normal" cycle is. Is this true for you?

I used to have a pretty regular cycle as I recall. I started the pill around 19-20 years old.

Thank you!
And was that cycle 28 days? 35?

I would say around 30 days.

Great!
Then there is a good chance that the cycle will return to this point in the next 3 cycles.
In the meantime, you can stop pregnancy tests and only take one every 7 days or so.
It is also recommended to have full intercourse on a regular basis (every two to three days), regardless of possible ovulation. This is the best trick to not stress and conceive. :)
