I have been using CeraVa cream every 2 hours for 1 month and 1 month ago I put on hydrocotizone. There is no improvement. What to do

Hi, 4 month old baby has quite severe eczema on his face. My doctor recommended 2x a day for 4 days a thin layer of hydrocortizone. My pharmacist also recommended CeraVe cream at 2 hours.

Hello ma'am, are there any irritating sources like salivation, wearing bibs?

Thanks for the feedback, I'm sorry for the delay in my reply, I hadn't seen the notification!
You did well with Cerave, I suggest continuing its application but often during the day, there is no maximum number of times per day!
If the hydrocortisone cream was insufficient, I recommend 1% hydrocortisone ointment, available without a prescription, twice a day for 10 days and then once a day for 10 days thereafter.
If your child wears a bib, the rubbing of the bib can increase the redness, so I recommend taking a break from bibs for a few days. To that end, if you have noticed that he or she looks better in the morning when they wake up, you may have a better idea that it is really the contact with saliva that is causing the problem.
I hope I have been helpful, I will remain available if you have any further questions.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
