Can I take an antihistamine at the same time as a cold medicine?

The best treatment for congestion is nasal hygiene with a saline solution like Hydrasense or Sinus Rinse. This can be done as often as needed during the day and at least 30 minutes before bedtime

As for cold medications, just be careful because many kinds may also contain an anti-histamine, but also other medications for symptoms that you do not have. If your only symptoms are congestion with discharge, nasal hygiene should be more than enough.
