I take antidepressants and Vyvanse. However, I have been experiencing great emotions lately. Should I continue to take Vyvanse?

I am the anxious type and I know that living increases anxiety. My boyfriend is leaving me and I'm just blurring the lines. I don't know what to do with my medication to help me.

Hello;
  • Living in a difficult situation can indeed increase symptoms of depression and anxiety.
  • You report that Vyvanse increases anxiety. Anxiety is an adverse effect that can indeed be seen with Vyvanse, but it remains an uncommon adverse effect. On the other hand, you should also be aware that in addition to being prescribed for its stimulant effect, Vyvanse can also be prescribed in certain situations of depression
  • I don't know the reason why Vyvanse was prescribed to you, but if it was prescribed to you for an attention disorder, you can after discussion with your doctor or pharmacist stop it for a few days and evaluate the degree of anxiety while stopping the treatment
  • When you say you are brooding, are you having dark thoughts? If so, it would be a good idea to discuss this with your doctor, who will be able to assess your medication and your needs at the same time, or your pharmacist, who has a list of your medications
If you have any other questions, I remain available to answer them
