Can I take antibiotics for sinusitis? What should I do? Go see my doctor?

Hi, I am about 9-10 weeks pregnant. I don't know yet because my first follow-up appointment is on December 13. I had influenza last week and today I think I have sinusitis/bronchitis. I have all the symptoms. On Monday, Dec. 5, I will be in this state for 2 weeks. My secretions are bacterial green... I do sinus rinses and take tylenols, but it is not enough. My condition is not getting better.

I had all the symptoms and also a fever. Since then, I think I have sinusitis and bronchitis. My secretions are green and bacterial. I have a big fat cough. I have big headaches. On December 5, it will be two weeks that I am in this state and it does not get better. Can I take antibiotics for the sinusitis? I do sinus rinses and I take tylenols. I don't feel any better.... Good morning, Madam,
In general, sinusitis resolves itself within 2 weeks. If your condition has not improved in the last 2 weeks or even worsened, you may want to see a doctor for an evaluation of your condition. If it is sinusitis, there are antibiotic treatments for sinusitis that are compatible with pregnancy.
Thus, it is recommended that you continue with non-pharmacological measures:
  • Sinus Rinse for nose irrigation at least twice a day
  • Tylenol for pain, fever and headache
  • Drink plenty of water
  • Rest as much as possible
  • Gargle with water and salt (1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of salt in 250 ml of water)
  • Honey to soothe the throat
I hope I have answered your question,
