I am 50 years old. My menstruation is black and greyish, is this normal at the beginning of menopause?

Hello ma'am, thank you for your question!
Have you ever had this kind of symptom in the past?

It's been like this for a few months. The bleeding changes colors and textures in the same period. Brown clots when I wake up, red and abundant blood for a day and the rest of the time it's patchy, clots, nothing for a few hours and then it comes back. I wear a ring for a lower bladder. I can't wear it when I have my period. When I think my period is over, I put it on and at night when I take it off, I have secretions stuck to it that are greyish. Does the color of the period change in pre-menopause? Thank you and have a nice day!

Thank you for the information!
The discharge you notice on your device is not necessarily abnormal, nor is the change in color and texture during your cycle. Perimenopause may also be a factor, but it is impossible to determine this for sure.
However, if you are concerned about this, I encourage you to discuss it with your doctor at your next appointment.
Sincerely
