I was never advised to take progesterone. Can it be dangerous not to have combined estrogel and progesterone?
Did the estrogel alone not give the expected effects? I'm all mixed up, I don't know who to believe and what to do with it.
Thank you! I am waiting for your answer.

Hello ma'am, thank you for your questions!
Progesterone is necessary with estrogen to protect against uterine cancer, which is not necessary if you have had a hysterectomy.
This being the case, if you have not had any improvement in your symptoms with Estrogel, I strongly suggest that you discuss this with your pharmacist who will be able to validate the treatment and its dose and if deemed necessary make an adjustment or suggest alternatives to your doctor, in addition to ensuring a close follow-up with you.
I hope that I have been helpful to you and I remain available if you have any further questions!
