Should I go see my doctor to be re-tested? Or should I wait and see if the symptoms persist?

30-year-old woman2 years ago
Hello! About 3 months ago I tested positive for chlamydia. My boyfriend and I followed the treatment (the 4 pink pills) and we abstained for 10 days following that. However, since last week, I feel a discomfort when I go to urinate and I also feel a slight "tingling" at the entrance of my vagina. Note that I had no symptoms before receiving my test. Could it be that the treatment didn't work? Should I go see my doctor? Is it possible that it is just a vaginal infection? Thank you very much for your help.

Hello madam, very good question indeed!
Have you ever experienced this kind of symptom in the past, for example during another type of infection? If the answer is no, you should indeed consult a doctor if these symptoms persist.
If the answer is yes, I invite you to consult your pharmacist in person or by phone, who will be able to personalize the consultation and evaluate the need for treatment.
Sincerely
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
