I have to go for blood tests and they ask me to fast for 8 hours, but can I take my contraceptive pill in the morning?

Blood draws are for: Diabetes, endocrine, liver/gastro, lipids, nutrition, renal and bone, hematology and urine. My time for taking the birth control pill is at 7:00 AM and my appointment for the blood tests is at 9:30 AM.
