My baby has a fever, what should I do?

My 20 month old baby has had a fever for about 54 hours. She refuses to eat and seems to have an abscess on her lip. She can be fine for a few minutes and then all of a sudden she is angry and irritable. When she wakes up at night she would kick her legs against the bars of the crib and the mattress.
