What can I do about hand-foot-and-mouth disease?

31-year-old woman2 years ago
My daughter has had her foot in her mouth since Friday. Now, the night are terrible because she is just screaming in pain. She is like losing her voice! Apart from the tylenol and advil? What else can I do? She doesn't have a temperature!

Hello ma'am, I'm sorry to read about her troubles!
Apart from Advil or Tylenol, you should apply, as often as needed, a moisturizing cream without perfume like Aveeno, Cutibase, Base Glaxal, Cerave and others. The cream should be applied often, there is no maximum number of times. I suggest keeping it in the refrigerator for a soothing effect.
For the bath or shower, avoid using scented soaps, and after the bath or shower, avoid rubbing the skin vigorously: instead, lightly tap the skin to leave a thin layer of moisture, then apply the moisturizing cream within 5 minutes after getting out of the bath.
If the situation persists for 72 hours without improvement, you should consult a doctor.
I will remain available if you have any further questions
