Can the pharmacist give me a new copper IUD without a doctor's prescription?

I need to change my copper IUD since I have had it for almost 5 years. Should I go to the pharmacy to get a new one before seeing a doctor, or should a doctor prescribe it first?

Hello,
Thank you for your question!
You must first obtain a prescription from your doctor.
The pharmacy will then be able to order the product and you will need to make a second appointment with the doctor for the insertion of the new IUD.
I hope that I have answered your question and I am available if needed.
Have a nice evening!
