Hello, thank you for your question, in fact the impact associated with the combined use of citalopram and alcohol is that the alcohol can increase the side effects (or in other words, the toxicity) of citalopram, particularly at the psychomotor level. So, to the feeling, you could interpret this as an increased effect of alcohol, but it is rather the combined effect that causes this. So, in conclusion, it is not the citalopram that increases the effect of alcohol, but rather the opposite. All in all, it is not a desirable combination.
