I have cold symptoms and a feeling of pressure in my face?

32-year-old woman3 years ago
Hello, For the past few days, I have had cold-like symptoms such as nasal congestion and cough. The cough has disappeared, but yesterday I started having headaches and a swelling between the inner corner of my eyes and my nose. Is my situation alarming or can I take the time to consult a doctor in a clinic?

Hello, thank you for your question!
In the absence of worsening symptoms, I would opt for nasal hygiene with a saline solution (Hydrasense, Sinus Rinse and others), which can be done as often as needed during the day, and at least 30 minutes before bedtime. By 'cleaning' the nasal secretions, we can decrease their backward flow, which often causes coughing, congestion and pressure on the front of the face.
With that written, I suggest you take a quick test if you don't have, or fill out the following link to assess the need for COVID screening:
I hope I have been helpful to you and remain available if you have any further questions!
