Is it possible that the adjustment of syntroid following a total thyroidectomy can cause hair loss like chemotherapy, that worries me?

I am very afraid of losing my hair, with Dexilant I lose my hair a lot, so taking Syntroid worries me, plus it seems that it takes a long time to get the right dosage after a surgery and there are a lot of side effects. What is the rate of people losing their hair? I know it's not permanent but is it just thinning or loss like in chemotherapy?

Good evening ma'am,
It can indeed take a few weeks (4-6) for Synthroid to be fully effective at the right dosage.
During this time, patients may lose some hair, but never as much as chemotherapy, no.
More like thinning.
