My baby has panic on a finger?

My 15 month old son has panic on his finger. The doctor did not do anything except tell him to soak the finger in water and put polysporin. At that moment the abscess had burst by itself (he had it for 2 days) and we could only see the redness. This morning the abscess started to form again and the redness and swelling are still very present.

Hello, thank you for your question! I would recommend, for now, that you continue to soak and keep the area clean. Often the situation will resolve itself. However, if the swelling or redness persists beyond 2 days, or if it increases, you will need to see a doctor again.
