Hello, I have just started treatment for burnout/anxiety (mild depression). My doctor prescribed effexor. I am 37 years old. I hope it's for a short period of time. I'm thinking of getting pregnant (within 1 year).
I would like to know if it is better to change my medication because I have read that there may be risks for the pregnancy...

Hello ma'am, thank you for your question!
While the data regarding L'Effexor during pregnancy is quite favorable, the medication is not a first line of treatment as there are other treatments for your condition that are supported by much more and solid data regarding their safety during pregnancy.
I know that taking a medication is not ideal, but it is impossible to predict the length of treatment. Therefore, if you are considering conceiving, even if in 1 year, I strongly suggest you contact your pharmacist.ne who can suggest alternatives to your doctor.
Hopefully, I have helped you, please do not hesitate if you have any further questions
