I would like to know if polysporin drops for conjunctivitis are the same dose for a 3 year old child as for an adult

I had a bacterial conjunctivitis confirmed by a pharmacist a few days ago and this morning my 3 year old daughter, in perfect health, woke up with crusted eyes and pu in the corner of her eye, despite my great caution not to contaminate. I would like to know if the polysporin conjunctivitis drops that I received would be good for my daughter and especially if it is with the same instructions. 4 times a day for 7 days? I would like to know how long after starting the treatment we are no longer contagious? Thank you

Hello! 😀
It is indeed the same instructions whether it is for a 3 year old or an adult.
However, I do not recommend sharing the bottle between 2 people as there is a risk of contamination!
A person remains contagious as long as there is purulent secretions or contact with their fingers and objects (if they scratch their eyes).
To reduce the redness and itching, I recommend cold water compresses but be careful to discard the compress after use!
Happy day!
