I have sciatic nerve pain that developed in late December 2022 and the pain prevents me from functioning daily at certain movements and as I said in my previous message, I would like to try a medication before seeing and then see a professional adapted

The medications that you may be prescribed are anti-inflammatories and/or muscle relaxants and normally for a period of 14 days. If it doesn't get better then I advise you to see a physiotherapist, he is the best professional to treat this kind of pain.

Perfect thank you very much!

Another and even better option is to combine pharmaceutical treatments with physiotherapy
Let us know if the pain does not go away with your medication :)

I would also like to know if you can prescribe or suggest a medication directly from the pharmacy for anything that is a muscle relaxant or anti-inflammatory (having already gone through advils, tylenol or robax) is there anything a little stronger just to get the physiotherapy appointment?

I am a physiotherapist and not a pharmacist so my knowledge on the subject is limited but I would say from my experience there are not many "stronger" options than what you have tried over the counter, but there are 1-2 things possible. Go directly to the pharmacy at the counter to find out.
