Small cracks in my chest?

22 -year-old man3 years ago
Hello, I'm 20 years old and I smoked for 1 year, it's been 16 days since I stopped but something is bothering me. Since a few months, when I exhale hard, when I stretch by raising my arms or when I simply contract my rib cage (by exhaling) I have a sensation of small bubbles which burst, always in the same places, left side at the level of the middle of the left pectoral. I am a fairly regular sportsman and I have no shortness of breath when I exert myself and no pain whatsoever. I would like to know if you have any idea of what it could be and if I should consult a doctor, thank you for your answer.

Hello, thank you for your question!
These small cracks can occur in any joint. They are only air bubbles or small friction in the cartilage and surrounding structures
If what you describe is not accompanied by pain or restrictions in your movements, there is nothing to worry about.
I hope that I have put your mind at ease, and if you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
