Can I take Advil even though I am taking methotrexate?

Good evening ma'am,
The use of Advil™ without a prescription is usually avoided when methotrexate is already used. This is because, although these two drugs are sometimes used together to relieve the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, use without a doctor's advice is risky, since these drugs can have side effects on the kidneys of the person taking them.
In a case like yours, I would tend to favor Tylenol™ until you have sought the advice of your doctor or rheumatologist.
