Can Advil increase her eczema/urticaria symptoms or promote an allergic reaction?

I am currently being investigated for an itchy rash on my neck. According to my doctor, it looks like atopic dermatitis, but he is not sure. I have hypersensitive skin at the base (redness, burning sensation, etc.). I have been taking Advil for my migraines for 10 years.

Hello,
In your question, you are talking about 3 completely different things: eczema (or atopic dermatitis), hives and allergies
Advil (ibuprofen) is not related to eczema. It is true that the drug, being an anti-inflammatory, can create hives. Also, it can create allergic reactions since technically we can be allergic to anything in the environment (drugs, food, textiles, etc.)
However, these 2 types of reactions caused by a drug are quite easy to identify. Indeed, a few hours after taking the medication, the reaction starts and when it is stopped, the reaction disappears. This happens most commonly when the medication is first taken and rarely after years of taking it

Thank you for your answer
If I can recap, since we can't identify if my rash is eczema or hives, can I still consider that it won't increase the skin reaction already present?
Thank you

Exactly, it is unlikely that Advil is involved in this. If it did, you would have known about it a long time ago, as the rash would have appeared within hours of taking the Advil and would have disappeared after stopping it.

One last little mention
In cases of eczema, it is more the products that we put on our skin that we must pay attention to be creams, soaps, cosmetics and laundry products. We must be careful to avoid perfumes, parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate, certain preservatives such as methylisothiazolinone. In short, products with a list of ingredients as simple as possible and moisturize the skin as often as possible!
