How much Lax-A-Day should I give my 19 pound baby?

Hello, my 7 month old baby is very constipated. I give him prunes regularly but he doesn't want to drink water. He squirms, screams in pain and finally makes small dry stools.

Hello ma'am,
In addition to prunes, I suggest that you give your child fruits and vegetables as well as whole grains such as whole grain bread
Encourage your child to drink lots of milk as this can help soften the stool.
For Lax-A-Day, the dose is 1 gram of powder per kg of your child's weight once a day in a small amount of any liquid.
This equals 8 grams of powder.
The line on the cap indicates the adult dose of only 17 grams. I suggest that you go to the pharmacy and your pharmacist will show you how to take 8 grams.
I hope I have been helpful to you and I am available if you have any further questions!
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
