Is the snag supposed to fall off or go away shortly after burning it with nitrogen?

I have a snag in my groin that rubs and hurts. I went to the doctor and he burned it with nitrogen. It's been 2 days and so far there is no change... is this normal?

Healing can take several days. If after 2 weeks you do not notice any improvement, you will have to consult again.
