Trouble seeing several times a day?

85-year-old woman2 years ago
For the last 2 to 3 years I have had "halos" in front of my eyes a few times a day, it is not painful but it is disturbing for my vision. My optometrist says that it is not my eyesight. My doctor has prescribed an MRI but I am still waiting for it. What can I do to speed things up or improve my case?

Hello, thank you for your question!
Would it be possible to know if your symptoms are always present, or only at times?
Thank you for your question!

At times and for several minutes and often a few times a day

The optometrist assumed it could be ophthalmic migraines, however I don't have any headaches.

Thanks for the information!
Indeed, it could be a symptom of ophthalmic migraine, which does not always cause headaches!
Anti-inflammatory drugs can help, if they are migraines, but you will have to evaluate with your pharmacist if this class of medication is safe in your case (medical history, taking certain medications, allergies, etc.).
