Good morning, Mrs,
Generally speaking, we suggest taking Zoloft (or sertraline) in the evening at suppertime because its absorption is influenced by food (fats in particular) and we assume that the fattest meal of the day is often supper. On the other hand, if for you, it would be preferable to take it in the morning to facilitate absorption or to stop a problem of insomnia caused by taking the medication in the evening, I see no problem in moving the intake to breakfast. The important thing is to always take it at about the same time so that your doctor can adjust your dose according to the effectiveness of your medication.
As for the alcohol issue, we always tend to suggest that patients limit alcohol intake as much as possible with antidepressants because they have the opposite effects. In fact, alcohol is a central nervous system (CNS) depressant, whereas Zoloft is a CNS antidepressant. On the other hand, personally, I would tend to tell you that a glass of wine should not have any adverse effects. I would tend to try it when you don't have to perform activities that require alertness such as driving or working.
I hope that my answers will be sufficient to answer your questions.
Have a nice day!
