I threw up my contraceptive?

Hi, I am having sex and we are only using the birth control pill. I threw up about 3 hours after taking my birth control pill, I was on the third week of the pack. Should I be concerned about the effectiveness?

Hello, thank you for your question! If the vomiting occurred before 3 hours after taking the contraceptive, take another one right away, and finish your pack normally, taking only the active tablets. Do not take the 'inactive' tablets (those without hormones), and start a new pack of tablets If your case is for more than one vomiting tablet, please contact your pharmacist.
