Hello!
These are two medications that decrease the production of acid by the stomach. They act in the same way and are considered to be of equivalent potency
Sometimes, however, some patients respond better to one than to the other, but we have no way of knowing that in advance.
They both have very few side effects and are generally well tolerated.
Have a nice day!

Hello, I am currently taking pantoprazole 40mg.
Can I combine gaviscon with pantoprazole?
Can I take them both in the same day?
Thank you

Hello, it is possible to take them in the same day, but they must be separated by 2 hours so that they do not interact.
