I have had a mirena IUD for 3 months, I have pain in my breasts, especially the left one and it seems to have increased in size, should I consult?

I consulted 2 weeks ago for masses felt in my breasts, following an ultrasound everything seemed normal but no mammography was performed. However, the left breast seems to have grown and I have intermittent pain with sensitivity to touch when palpating (only on the left side).

Hello Ma'am, No, there is no need to reconsult at this time. You should be aware that the breast is made up of a gland to a very, very large extent and just touching the breast several times during the day (e.g., to check the size or hardness) can cause it to get bigger or harder. Bref, I would recommend just trying not to touch it at all for 3 weeks. It should decrease in size and be less hard after that time. If it doesn't, we'll go for a consultation next month.
