What to do to treat a stiff neck?

My husband has had a stiff neck since last Wednesday, so 4 days, and the pain has not diminished since. It is following a visit to the physio in consultation for dizziness. My husband is 80 years old. He has no other illnesses. He is in good health. I applied Voltarin to him this morning. Is there anything I can do to help him? Thank you for answering me. Good evening, is your husband taking any medication? Heat and massage are recommended. He can take painkillers like Tylenol (if compatible with his health problems) and you can continue to apply Voltaren gel (if compatible with his medication) I invite you to consult your pharmacist to make sure that it is compatible with his medication.
