For the time being, I recommend that you avoid applying anything to the irritated area, especially if the product in question (soap, cream, deodorant, etc.) contains perfume.

A protective cream such as Vaseline can be applied in a very thin layer 3 to 4 times a day depending on the symptoms. Other creams exist to protect the skin, such as Barrier Cream

After showering or bathing, the area should not be rubbed dry. Instead, lightly pat the area and then quickly apply the protective cream.
