What changes should be seen when the anti-viral is stopped? After how long should menstruation return?

I stopped my anti-viral because it was contraindicated (migraines with auras) and since then I feel like I have less appetite, I have more pimples and I have skipped 2 months of menstruation and I know I am not pregnant. I wonder if there is a connection between all this

There is certainly a link between all this. Taking oral contraceptives can lead to an increase in appetite, so you may notice a decrease in appetite when you stop taking them

Many oral contraceptives are also indicated to treat acne. So even if you stop it, you may notice that the contraceptive had a beneficial effect on your acne. As for the return of menstruation, it may take a few months before it comes back. It's different for each person, but it can take a while for the hormonal system and ovulation to return to normal. If you are worried about a possible pregnancy, I suggest you take a test to find out. Sometimes fertility can resume very quickly after stopping the contraceptives too! If the symptoms persist and you are not pregnant, I advise you to see a doctor for a check-up. Elise Grondin, pharmacist
