What kind of sleeping pill can I take with Wellbutrin XL 300mg antidepressants? Are there any negative interactions between this antidepressant and the next drug Pro Valacyclovir 500mg, such as a depressant effect?

Hello,
Some sleeping pills are compatible with your Wellbutrin medication. However, I lack a lot of information (e.g., the type of insomnia, the duration of the problem, the treatments tried) to recommend a particular product. Also, insomnia, especially if it persists, can be a symptom of an underlying problem. For example, a person with anxiety or a poorly treated depressive problem may have insomnia
So, I suggest that you talk to your pharmacist who can show you possible over-the-counter options or refer you to your doctor if necessary. I would also recommend that you look at whether there are things in your daily routine that are preventing you from sleeping well. In fact, most people have poor sleep hygiene. So, if you suffer from insomnia, it is important to make some corrections to your habits to give you a hand

Regarding the second question, there is no interaction between Wellbutrin and Pro Valacyclovir (Valtrex).

is there an interaction between welbutrin and seroquel xp 50mg? (I should have written that drug in my original question) I go to bed around 9:15-9:30 at night, I take the seroquel around 7:00 at night. I always wake up 1 hour after falling asleep, and I wake up at least 3-4 times. With the seroquel, it's easier to go back to sleep than without

I also tried to relax by taking an herbal tea, avoiding the cell phone about 1 hour before bedtime, but it is not always easy

As for insomnia, it has been going on for about 2 months. I would have liked to take another medication to sleep. However, the pharmacist did not suggest it when I asked. My doctor told me to take seroquel. I have been taking it for 2-3 weeks.

Hello,
In fact, there is a positive interaction between Wellbutrin and Seroquel, since the latter potentiates the antidepressant effect of the former. So, could it be possible that your doctor has prescribed it for sleep as well as to better treat your mood problem? This would have to be validated with your doctor before trying another medication since this beneficial effect is not found with other types of sleeping pills available (e.g. melatonin). Moreover, Seroquel does not cause dependence, which is the main problem with many sleeping pills of the benzodiazepine class (e.g. ativan, rivotril, etc.) or related (e.g. zopiclone).
Note that it is usually recommended to take Seroquel XR 3 to 4 hours before bedtime to have its full effect. Also, it would be possible to adjust your dose if it is not effective enough. Finally, it is true that it is hard to change one's sleeping habits, but it is essential if you want to help yourself at this level. So, with the linked site, I encourage you to identify your bad habits and try to change them one at a time.
