There is no official indication in Canada to give probiotics for this indication. This means that there have been studies done and they are inconclusive!

Be aware that this pharyngitis most likely could not have been prevented by taking probiotics.

The first year in daycare for a child is pretty tough when it comes to infections. Other than feeding him well, making sure he gets plenty of rest and giving him vitamin D, there's not much you can do.
