My 2 year old drools a lot?

Hello, my child is 2 years old. He drools a lot and his saliva has an unpleasant smell. He does not have a fever. He has had his symptoms for 3 days. Could it be a teething problem? Should we consult a doctor?

If there are no other symptoms such as fever, or a deterioration of your child's general condition, there is no need to worry or to consult a doctor

It could be teething, but it's pretty hard to say, you'd be better able to tell than I :)
