It is possible to give Tylenol and Advil alternately. It is preferable to give them alternately rather than at the same time because it allows the first medication to take effect and to see if the second is really necessary. However, under 6 months of age, Tylenol is preferable to Advil, the latter being recommended only on medical advice at this age.
Be careful, it is important to give medication only if your child's general condition is bad, not only if the number on the thermometer indicates a temperature.
