I have been losing my hair a lot since I gave birth. I wanted to know if I could take biotin even if I am breastfeeding.

Hello Mrs and thank you for your question :)
In fact, biotin is passed on in breast milk and the need for it in infants is much less than for adults.
Although not contraindicated, I must admit that the effectiveness of biotin for hair loss is VERY limited, so in my opinion it is not a good idea to take biotin supplements for this reason.
If you are eating well (fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy products), your biotin (also called vitamin b8) needs are already being met.
It would be a good idea to see your doctor to have a blood test to make sure everything is okay, if you see that things are not improving.
Hormonal changes (e.g. thyroid gland) during pregnancy and after giving birth could be related to some hair loss.
I hope this helps a little :)
Have a nice day,
Emmanuelle
