Should I consult a doctor if my son has pink spots without any other symptoms?

My one year old son has had pink pimples that have been increasing in quantity for over 24 hours. Initially concentrated on his chest, he now has them on his back, under his arms and on his neck. The spots are slightly palpable under the fingers. No other symptoms, acts as usual. Possible slight itching because he "flattens" his shirt a few times along the length of his torso.

Hello,
In young children, it is common to have rashes, even though the child is in good condition. The first cause to eliminate is the presence of an allergic reaction. Thus, it is necessary to look if a hygiene product (cream, soap, laundry soap), clothing or food has been changed recently and could have caused this rash. In this case, the product should be removed.
The second possible cause is a viral infection. When a child catches a virus, it can cause a rash all over the body that is self-limiting. Roseola or chicken pox are examples of this type of infection that often occur in children in daycare or school.
If your child has no other symptoms, it's okay to watch for symptoms. You should also watch for signs of skin infection (discharge, pain, redness outside the pimples, heat). For guidance, it would be a good idea to take your child to the pharmacy, which will be able to tell you a little more about the cause of the rash based on its appearance and advise you of an appropriate treatment.
