I have had hemorrhoidal surgery (hemorrhoidectomy) and I am experiencing severe pain after bowel movements (burning and spasms). Could a medication like Robaxacet help me reduce the pain?

I had hemorrhoidal surgery (hemorrhoidectomy) 8 days ago and I am still experiencing severe pain after bowel movements (burning and spasms). Could a medication like Robaxacet help me reduce the pain?

Hello, thank you for your question!
Would it be possible to know what medications were prescribed following the procedure, and what medications you usually take?
Thank you!

Thank you for your feedback. I only take Coversyl 2mg for blood pressure on a regular basis
I was prescribed Dilodid 1mg after surgery for pain, Colace 100mg two tablets a day to soften stools and tylenol as needed.

I no longer take Dilodid but still take a 100 msg tablet of Colace per day.
otherwise, for several months I have been taking magnesium 500mg per day and omega 3 1000mg per day prescribed by my family doctor for 2 years. That's it.

Thanks for the feedback! Acetaminophen alone may be sufficient to help relieve discomfort. Robaxacet may cause drowsiness at best and probably won't help.

That's what I thought. I thank you for your good advice. Have a nice day. [Name removed to preserve confidentiality]
