When I have a bowel movement, nothing comes out but a yellow slimy liquid. Is this normal?

I am 17 years old, I already had an appendectomy 3 years ago and 1 year ago I was taken several times by intense pain in the abdomen and when I went to consult, I was always diagnosed with the same thing: severe constipation. I was then prescribed Laxative to take every day for 3 months and each time no result. I was then advised to drink more water (which I didn't do before) and to be less sedentary. For the past few months, I have been drinking the recommended number of liters per day, I have corrected my diet which is now healthier and I go to the gym at least 3 times a week. What could be my problem?

Ah and my bowel movement problem is accompanied by abdominal pain and swelling that persists daily, but is endurable.

Hello Ma'am,
Unfortunately, as a pharmacist I am not qualified to diagnose (tell you the cause of your symptoms), as this is an act reserved for physicians.
That said, I would highly recommend that you see a physician again. What is presenting in your stool now (and the presence of tenesmus) suggests that there is a problem with your bowels.
The consultation is not urgent, but should be done within the next week in my opinion.
Sorry I can't be more helpful at this time.
Happy day,
Alexander
