My almost 4 year old boy has had eczema since he was born. We have a prescription cream for it. Usually we are able to control his eczema with it despite the occasional rash. Last week he started taking melatonin to help him fall asleep at night. But since a few days his eczema is really strong ....

Melatonin does not cause the aggravation of eczema as such
Where are the lesions located? In the same place as usual, but more intense?
Have you started heating the house? Have you changed your soap or other products?

If melatonin is the only identifiable change you could try a few days off. However, there are times when the eczema intensifies and we are not able to identify the cause. Stress can also be a factor or the cold
I suggest you apply cortisone regularly and moisturizer more often. Hydration is the key!
