Essential oils and contraceptive implants, is there a risk?

Hello, I read that the essential oils of the "hormone-like" type were contraindicated in the case of hormonal treatment and cancer, but no one talks about contraception. As I am wearing a contraceptive implant "nexplanon", I wanted to know if the essential oils of the "hormone-like" type had an impact on the effectiveness of contraception? I just asked the question to a practitioner who ended the discussion without my being able to answer and I didn't understand his explanation. I would like to add that 1 month ago I used a cream based on "Rosemary with Cineole", is there any risk with this oil and my implant?

The cream also contained "marjoram" I used the cream on August 20 and only once I did not have sex between and today September 17 I had my first sex, is there still a risk that the implant is not completely effective?
Because in the leaflet of my implant it is written that if you take a medication that can potentially affect the effectiveness of the implant you have to wait 28 days. Did I respect this delay?

Hello ma'am,
I have not found any interaction or problem between Nexplanon and these 2 ingredients

Yes, but they are part of the "hormones like progesterone" from what I have seen. That's why I'm worried

But knowing that I did not have sex between August 20, the day I took the cream and today, is that enough time?

And I can't really understand if hormone like essential oils are only a problem for people with cancer or hormone related illnesses or if people on birth control are also concerned?

The studies I have found that deal with these oils such as rosemary, thyme and others are of very low methodological quality, meaning that it is difficult to appreciate the extent of their results in practice..
Essential oil used in a diffuser or as a massage oil (if diluted) is unlikely to have any significant effects.

Okay, so there is no risk, especially since there are 28 days between August 20 and September 17. The deadline on the instructions for my implant is therefore respected

There is not supposed to be any problem between the implant and the products you mentioned :)
