How long does gastritis last?

Hello, I have had gastritis for 1 month and I still have a lot of epigastric pain. I have been taking Dexilant since then. How long does gastritis usually last? I am starting to find that the symptoms of gastritis are taking a long time to resolve. I am waiting for a gastroscopy. I am also taking domperidone to help me digest faster, but since I have been taking this medication I am having trouble with bowel movements.

Hello ma'am, thank you for your question! Unfortunately, it is impossible to determine how long your symptoms will last, as the cause has not been found. If the Dexilant is successful in relieving your symptoms, I would advise you to continue it until your next appointment.
