There is no clear interaction between cannabis and the contraceptive pill. There are, however, some cases where smoking cannabis may cause the pill to become less effective. It is difficult to say how much cannabis must be smoked before this effect occurs. People who suffer from this interaction usually have warning signs, such as spotting, or light bleeding between periods.
