Hello Ma'am,
In a young woman like you, rib pain during a cold is often related to an "injury" to the intercostal muscles (as if you were "raked"). This is especially true if you don't have a fever.
So to relieve this kind of pain, try to reduce the cough. To do this, try to reduce the amount of mucus that flows from your nose into your throat as much as possible by using a product like Sinus Rinse™ twice a day for at least 5 to 7 days. Also use honey lozenges and cough syrup.
If your pain is accompanied by fever or chills, or if your pain is still present 1 week after your cough has stopped, then it will be possible to go see a doctor.
Happy day,
