Can we give him some other than prunes to help him do it more easily or even soften his stool?

Hi, my 9 month old baby has been constipated for 2-3 days. She is making some small hard poop balls. Normally, she had 1-2 soft stools a day. The only change that was made was to change her milk to 3.25. She complains when she forces herself to poop and sometimes she cries.

Good evening,
The change of milk may indeed be related to the constipation episode. I suggest you limit the amount of milk to 600ml per day, give her water between meals, give her high fiber foods and keep her moving.
You can also go to the pharmacy to get a laxative, Lax a Day, and ask the pharmacist for the appropriate dose according to her weight
I hope I helped you,
Chloe

Perfect, thank you! I'm going to inquire tomorrow about the quantity at my pharmacy!

the usual dose is 1g per kg of your child's weight. If your child weighs 5 kg, then 5 g of Lax a Day powder diluted in a glass of water or milk is given
