Hi, My 18 month old daughter has a cold (nasal congestion and cough), can I give her something other than Tylenol or Motrin to reduce her symptoms? Can I give her something other than Tylenol or Motrin to reduce her symptoms?

First of all, if your child does not have a fever or pain, there is no need to give him Tylenol or Motrin
The best solution for the symptoms you describe is nasal hygiene with saline (Hydrasense, Salinex and others), which can be done as often as needed during the day. By 'cleaning' the nasal secretions, we can reduce their backward flow, which often causes congestion and coughing. You can then use a bulb or a baby's nosewash. It's a little uncomfortable but it works great!
Another suggestion is to apply Vicks ointment to the chest or back, as long as you use the appropriate product for your age.
