Since a long flight a week ago, I have a pain in my calf that is intermittent and the vein is apparent, but the calf is not red and not swollen. I wonder if it would be better to consult. Thank you for your help.

Hello,
Given the context (long plane trip) and your symptoms, it would be important to consult a doctor in order to get the right diagnosis. The most feared condition is thrombophlebitis, which is an obstruction of a vein caused by the presence of a blood clot. The signs and symptoms (pain, numbness or cramping, heat and swelling) depend on the extent of the inflammatory reaction and the size of the clot. Therefore, I strongly encourage you to consult a physician to rule out this condition
