However, if your child has no contraindications to taking acetaminophen (Tylenol, Tempra and other brands) or ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin and other brands) (your pharmacist can confirm this), it may help relieve the pain
If the pain persists for more than 3 days, gets worse or other symptoms occur such as fever, you should consult a doctor or dentist as soon as possible.
